It happened in a Subway restaurant in Macon, Georgia. The day I met a legend. Gene Espy, the 2nd person to hike the entire 2,025 mile Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine in 1951. Gene Espy tribute. We enjoyed a good conversation. I think of Gene often, and of his accomplishment and story. This was quite a project!
